Piper Life Sciences is actively seeking an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to join a pharmaceutical manufacturing organization in Clayton, North Carolina area. The Instrumentation and Controls Engineer will be leading projects for automation integration, automation validation, and replicating current processes from other company sites. The ideal candidate will have experience participating in automation systems projects. This is a Monday-Friday, on-site position.

Responsibilities of the Instrumentation and Controls Engineer include:

• Serve as point of contact with the integrator for the successful implementation and of controls systems throughout the facility.
• Interface with global sites to replicate logic, principals, and processes for a new facility.
• Execute controls design, configuration and startup of controls-related projects for the site.
• Perform validation, testing, and support responsibilities as necessary.
• Provide expert knowledge in equipment selection and controls process design
• Deliver high quality communication regarding projects and serve as the subject matter expert for automation systems in meetings and leadership calls

Qualifications for the Instrumentation and Controls Engineer include:

• 5+ years of experience in Controls in a manufacturing environment
• Automation/controls experience diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues
• Electrical design experience
• Ability to work on-site
• B.S. in an Engineering discipline, or equivelant experience

Compensation for the Instrumentation and Controls Engineer:

• Compensation: $90,000 - $120,000 base
