Kingwood Pines Hospital:
Kingwood Pines Hospital is a 116 bed facility located in the beautiful residential Kingwood community. We are located about 30 miles northeast of the Houston Medical Center. The hospital provides 24-hour emergency services. We serve children, adolescents, and adults for psychiatric and behavioral health. The hospital also has services in intensive outpatient and partial hospital program services.

Qualifications
POSITION SUMMARY
The Intake Counselor, under the supervision of the Director of Admissions, interviews and assesses potential patients and inquiry callers. The Intake Counselor works with the Business Office regarding patient financial data, as well as with the UR Department for the certification of patients admitted. Also initiates the referral process when indicated, and communicates with referral sources.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of two (2) years experience in the area of substance abuse/psychiatric treatment programs, including experience in intake/admissions and managed care preferred.
EDUCATION :
Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, in Social Work, Nursing or a clinical related mental health field required.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
Must hold a license to practice in the State of Texas in Social Work, Nursing (RN) or a clinical related mental health field. LPC, LCSW, LMSW, RN, or LFMT license required. Current CPR and Handle With Care and Verbal De-Escalation training (can be obtained on-site upon employment). Current TX Driver's License
Hours: PRN (as needed basis - may be required to work flexible hours).
