Job Summary:

The Integrity Project Engineer will be responsible for providing structural engineering and construction support as well as managing, monitoring, coordinating brownfield integrity repair projects for the Gulf of Mexico (GoM) offshore facilities. In this role, you will manage the GoM Integrity repair projects, engineering activities and Construction work being performed by subcontractors, including oversight of Safety, and will work with our internal Operations, Procurement, Asset Management, Quality and EHS department to oversee the execution of the project. You would be expected to provide structural engineering support and assist with various structural issues for the company offshore assets. It's required to have a proven background in engineering and managing multiple Construction projects, demonstrating your ability to handle multifaceted challenges and deliver successful outcomes. This role will be based in Houston, TX, reporting to the Manager of MR&I Projects.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide structural engineering and construction support for the GoM assets. Assist on various brownfield projects performing structural evaluation (if needed) on a variety of structures offshore;
  • Plan and manage the execution of Integrity Repair projects (handrails, well bay, mezz deck, etc) consistent with defined scope, process, objectives, and budget;
  • Support the establishment of appropriate process workflows for structural/integrity-related activities and construction document approvals;
  • Develop and maintain operating rhythm to ensure Integrity repair projects deliverables are routinely achieved;
  • Perform Construction readiness assessments and implement gap-closure plans, as needed;
  • Provide routine Engineering and Construction updates and reporting to key stakeholders;
  • Ensure budgeted execution projects are delivered safely on time, on budget with completed CoS (conditions of satisfaction);

• Develop and implement construction safety and progress measurement KPIs, conduct regular status meetings, and coordinate with stakeholders.

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
  • Bachelor's degree in structural engineering or related field required;
  • A minimum of eight (8) of experience in structural engineering, construction management of maintenance, reliability, and brownfield integrity projects required;
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience on providing related structural engineering and construction support for offshore facilities required;
  • Working knowledge of SAP (preferred);
  • Proficiency in managing projects and construction activities, contractors, subcontractors, and stakeholders, demonstrating strong leadership and problem-solving skills;
  • Collaborative approach to work, with a strong attention to detail and documentation, including daily reports, KPI tracking, periodic reporting, and other standard construction and project management activities;
  • Must be able to understand business issues and direct favorable outcomes;
  • Ability to energize others, ability to act critically and deliver results;
  • Knowledge of typical offshore structural best practices;
  • Knowledge of project cost estimating, scheduling, and risk assessment;
  • Knowledge of corrosion processes and mitigation in offshore environment;
  • Construction and Project management skills including ability to organize, plan and deliver results per a business timeline;
  • Ability to apply sound, independent judgment and be decisive to determine a course of action consistent with an established project framework;
  • Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written), including the ability to develop technical reports and presentations;
  • Ability to manage external construction services;
  • Ability to work effectively under stress and time pressures.

Working Conditions:

• Work is primarily conducted in an office environment (Private or Semi-Private Office) but also requires occasional travel to off-site onshore/offshore work locations;

• Field duties require outdoor work in a construction site type atmosphere;

• Interaction with other team members, as well as supervisors and client personnel;

• Working on a construction site or in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels

• Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection;

• May be at more than one job site in a day and must be able to tolerate climate changes;

• May be required to travel out of town on a periodic basis.

• Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities which permits employee to communicate effectively;
