Job Description:
We are seeking an Interim Finance Specialist to join our team immediately. This role is 100% remote and ideal for a non-degreed project consultant open to converting to a full-time employee. This position is critical due to the extended absence of a current FTE finance specialist.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Review vendor invoice account coding to ensure accuracy
• Collaborate with team members at individual schools to ensure timely processing of vendor invoices using Concur accounts payable management software.
• Identify delays in the preparation and remittance of expense reports, contacting appropriate personnel to address issues.
• Upon conversion, take on advanced tasks such as variance analysis and cash activity monitoring.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of accounting principles, including prepaid vs. period expenses.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Positive and collaborative team member.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Concur a/p management software.
• Associate`s degree in accounting or current coursework towards an undergraduate degree in accounting.

Special Note:
After the client agrees to onboard, the consultant must obtain an Arizona Department of Public Safety fingerprint clearance card, a process that takes about a week.
