Internship - Information Technology, Fostoria, OH
Summer 2025 (May - August)
Posting will close on October 31, 2024, hiring to follow
Develop knowledge about AgCredit, ACA and the Farm Credit System's operations, products and services and how they relate to the agricultural community. Develop knowledge about how a corporate IT department operates in a geographically distributed branch environment. Contribute to the successful operations of the cooperative. Comply with all AgCredit, ACA policies and procedures while maintaining regular and punctual attendance as expected of this position.

Responsibilities
1. New employee workstation and laptop setup2. Work with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager to configure per workstation installation checklist.
3. Deliver, setup and connect to network at branch locations.
4. Configure and deploy iPhones and iPads as needed.

5. Security vulnerability patching and Microsoft updates6. Assist central IT security gro up in remediation of vulnerabilities identified via security scans.
7. Identify other needed MS updates and work with available software to perform these updates.
8. Track progress of project.

9. ShoreTel/Mitel IP phone system replacement project10. Assist IT team as needed.

11. Network Switch replacement12. Assist IT team as needed.

13. Cybersecurity 14. Assist IT team in updating firmware in various IT devices
15. Assist IT team in applying updates to servers and other systems as needed.

16. Internal team member support17. Assist with the IT help desk function as needed.
18. Assist with support for laptops, docking stations, iPhones/iPads, wide and local area connections, printers, IP phones and other devices as needed.

19. Business Continuity20. Participate in Business Continuity Committee meetings
21. Complete Business Continuity related assignments.

22. Intern orientation and training23. Attend the intern orientation and other training programs as requested.
24. Submit a written evaluation of the intern experience to the Director of Human Resource during the last week of the internship.

25. Attend IMD team meetings and other Assn events26. Experience interaction of group meeting dynamic
27. Generate ideas for department success.

28. Special projects as assigned.29. Assist IMD team as needed with day to day needs or other projects as the need may arise.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- At least one year of post-secondary education and be working towards a 2 or 4 year degree in an Information Technology program.
- Reside in one of the counties serviced by AgCredit and have an interest in agriculture and/or agriculture business.
- Skill in computer software applications.
- Skill in the setup and troubleshooting of Windows and Windows based applications.
- Skill of the setup and troubleshooting of wired and/or wireless networks.
- Skill in setup and troubleshooting of iPhone/iPad IOS based devices.
- Ability to interact effectively with a diverse group of people.
- Knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and required formats to recognize and correct correspondence and reports.
- Ability to work independently under general supervision.
- An interest in configuring and troubleshooting PC related systems is a plus.
- Ability to travel to branch offices (transporting computer equipment) as well as locations inside and outside the association for training. Appropriate mileage and expenses are reimbursed.
- Ability to move (carry and install) monitors, laptop computers and other IT equipment as well as connect wiring from the top of a desk to the tower on the floor.
