GENERAL SUMMARY

The University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences is currently looking for a dynamic intern to join our team. The intern will participate in various stages of our strategic initiatives. This intern will work in a fast-paced team environment and will finish the internship having gained broad experience in various aspects of the university.

The successful candidate will support cross-functional teams in a particular area of study - finance, business development, human resources, marketing, product development, information technology, etc. The Intern, Legislative and Database Management Support will learn the USAHS culture and basic day-to-day communication, how to prepare creative and effective presentations and communications, how to perform analysis of data, and the importance, expectations, and presentation of findings.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • The intern will analyze information and create presentations for internal and external use.
  • The intern will assist with the maintenance, updating, and analysis of alumni data associated with the alumni database.
  • Working with substantial independence, the intern will analyze and review financial, operational, and business development-related data. The intern will be responsible for the entry of information for all alumni, will maintain the data integrity of the database, and will be responsible for preparing and analyzing reports.
  • Support a broad range of other assignments with responsibility for recommending and implementing change in methods and procedures in addition to advising management on appropriate next steps.
  • Special projects as needed.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree or currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program form an accredited university; minimum GPA of 3.0 is required.
  • Strong qualitative and analytical skills and have ability to perform statistical calculations and evaluate results
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both oral and written
  • Extensive knowledge of Web, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Strong planning and organization skills
  • Must be able to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment and communicate with all levels of management
  • Strong computer skills with extensive knowledge of MS Office tools, database platforms, andproject management experience preferred

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment but may involve exposure to moderate noise levels. Work involves operation of personal computer equipment for six to eight hours daily and includes physical demands associated with a traditional office setting, e.g., walking, standing, communicating, and other physical functions as necessary.

Hiring Range $13.37 - $13.37 Compensation is a reasonable estimate and will be determined using the hiring range listed above and factors including, but not limited to, skillset, level of experience, education, and physical work location, to the extent consistent with applicable law.
