Safran Cabin Innovation, an innovation, research and technology development team is looking for an intern to explore Eco Design and Sustainable Product Development. This mission aligns with Safran Cabin commitment to sustainability, as we aim to create eco-responsible, innovative, and cutting-edge solutions for the aerospace industry.
As a team member of the sustainable product innovation team, the intern will support the creation and implementation of Eco Design and Sustainable Product Development methods. The primary mission is to analyze existing standards, best practices and methods. This benchmark will be use as base for the definition, implementation, and integration of eco design principles, methods, and tools into the development of new aircraft cabin interior products. It will be followed by the development of a proof of concept.
• Perform benchmark of best eco design and sustainable product development methods
• Evaluate the existing regulations for sustainable products and environment (e.g. ISO 14000)
• Develop reports and guidelines to support product innovation
• Conducts routine tasks as directed

Candidate skills & requirements
Education: 2-3 years of completed college coursework in the fields of Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
Experience: Internship
Computer Skills:
• MS Office Suite, MS Windows, SolidWorks a plus, Catia V5 a plus
Other Skills:
• Effective oral and written communications skills
• Demonstrated ability to handle tasks and assignments with attention to detail
• Problem solving, well organized, detailed oriented and accurate.
• Open minded, curious and with willingness to learn
