SUMMARY

The Internal Communications Manager - HR will serve as the primary communications lead for internal communications that support Andersen's human resources function, enabling people-central solutions and services and unlock potential and enable growth. As a member of the Corporate Communications team, the manager will be responsible for design and execution of communications plans, strategies, key messaging and tactics to educate, engage and inspire Andersen's 13,000+ team members across the employee lifecycle - from recruitment and onboarding through post-employment and retirement. Together with HR and Communications colleagues, this role supports a diverse and inclusive workplace where every team member is inspired to achieve their full potential.

The internal communications manager responsible for HR communications will have responsibility for providing strategic and tactical support for implementation of corporate HR initiatives and will serve as a communication expert and thought partner with senior HR leadership. Areas of focus include benefits/total wellbeing education and marketing, change communications, organizational design communications, new program implementation, employment brand, and communications to support strategic work in areas including onboarding, talent acquisition, training and development.

The individual in this role will craft timely, engaging and channel-specific internal communications, utilizing a variety of content formats (intranet content for web and mobile, digital signage, blogs, print collateral, leader toolkits, HR technology/platform messaging, etc.). Strong writing skills, creative storytelling and an omni-channel approach are required.

With a focus on continuous improvement, the internal communications manager with monitor employee and candidate sentiment to identify areas of strength and opportunity, providing communications counsel and support to improve performance, employee engagement and business outcomes - advancing the company's ultimate goal to be a company everyone loves.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Partner with human resources teams to understand business strategies and develop and implement internal communications programs to inform, educate and engage our 13,000 team members around Andersen's people-facing programs and services.
  • Serve as the corporate communications liaison and subject matter expert to HR, providing thoughtful communications strategy and counsel to advance people-centric priorities and business solutions across the enterprise.
  • Identify content opportunities and write/produce stories for employee communications. Must write in concise, accurate and accessible language that can be quickly and easily understood. Leverage a variety of content formats to produce highly engaging multimedia content, including written, video, photography and graphic design.
  • Partner with creative services to elevate employment branding and ensure brand consistency across employee-facing communications.
  • Contribute to implementation of corporate communications strategies, channels and programs. Encourage adoption of internal communications platforms.
  • Manage content distribution across employee-facing channels including intranet and digital signage to ensure targeted, tailored, timely and consistent communications to all employees.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.



MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 8 years communications or content marketing experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in strategic communications, public relations, marketing, journalism or relevant work experience
  • Writing samples required.
  • Strong understanding of communication disciplines in digital and written forms.
  • Excellent active listening and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with confidential information.
  • Multimedia and/or video storytelling experience.
  • Experience with content management systems.
  • Must be a strong writer with knowledge of AP Style and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be a self-starter with effective time and project management skills.
  • Ability to influence others while moving toward a common vision or goal.
  • Driven to effectively solve problems and identify opportunities.
  • Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and productively with all types of people at all levels of the organization and with external vendors.

In 2024, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
