About the Team
We are looking for a highly motivated intern with interest in BIM/Revit modeling to contribute to our program globally. This will be the first dedicated intern role in this space, and you will have the support and backing to drive your initiatives across some of the world's most unique and leading systems. This role reports directly to Security Engineering leadership, with a global purview.
The Security Engineering team is responsible for helping Tesla securely design, build, and operate infrastructure across corporate, manufacturing data, data centers, sales service and delivery, and production environments. You will work on a broad set of efforts including the design and implementation of security systems in new sites, ensuring survivability and resiliency is exceptional, driving the feature set forward. Our security technologies are life-safety critical, and your work will focus heavily on ensuring our current and future states produce a highly trusted tool for our Security, EHS, and Production teams. You will work with a team to produce Low Voltage Security Design drawings for Tesla sites globally.

You will play a critical role executing high-impact company-wide initiatives and working to continuously improve the effectiveness of our org.

Responsibilities
  • Manage coordination of BIM models from design and construction as it pertains to security engineering model
  • Responsible for implementing design coordination into security design packages
  • Responsible for defining Level of Development documentation and standards for Fabrication level detailing
  • Responsible for the accurate coordination of Security models for both contractor and Tesla teams
  • Responsible for developing concise communications and workflows for articulating Security Installation status and on-site conditions
  • Responsible for as-built verification leveraging 3D models
  • Support the development of Revit content libraries for all Security Engineering disciplines
  • Work with Security Engineering, Technical Project Controls, Construction, BIM and Engineering to create process improvements for Coordination, Short Interval Planning
  • Expected to work in a high-paced environment


Requirements
  • Pursuing a degree in electrical engineering, construction, architecture, mechanical engineering, or related field of study with a graduation date between 2025-2026
  • Able to relocate and work on site in Palo Alto, CA or Fremont, CA
  • Experience or interest in interfacing with construction and cost control on quantity takeoffs and alignment between work breakdown structure based cost tracking and BIM parameters
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience working with Revit and AutoCAD preferred
  • Able to complete models and drawings sets in timely manner
  • Ability to coordinate the activities of a team of Engineers, Project Managers and Stakeholders, and Technicians

    • Expected Compensation

      $27.00 - $38.00 + benefits

      Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
