Interventional Pulmonologist, Physician- Jefferson Health Northeast

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Interventional Pulmonologist to join our team at Jefferson Bucks Hospital. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and expanding our interventional pulmonary program, providing high-quality care to patients with complex airway diseases and related conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic interventional pulmonary procedures, including bronchoscopy (flexible and rigid) and medical thoracoscopy.

• Conduct outpatient clinics (TBD), initially starting one day per week in the operating room , with the goal of expanding as patient volume grows.

• Provide inpatient consult services and collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.

• Develop and implement a pleural disease service, including a medical thoracoscopy program.

• Participate in the education and training of residents, fellows, and other healthcare professionals.

• Cover procedures during the vacation times of the main interventional pulmonary program.

• Work closely with the Director of Interventional Pulmonology to grow the program into a full-time service line.

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to clinical research projects.

• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team, demonstrating empathy and compassion.

Qualifications:

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.

• Board certification in Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care Medicine.

• Fellowship training in Interventional Pulmonology.

• Eligible for medical licensure in the state of Pennsylvania.

• Strong clinical skills and experience in interventional pulmonary procedures.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous quality improvement.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in developing and growing clinical programs.

• Academic experience with a track record of teaching and mentoring medical trainees.

• Participation in clinical research and publication in peer-reviewed journals.
