POSITION SUMMARY

Radiology Alliance is seeking a full-time Interventional Radiologist who is well rounded and comfortable with IR procedures such as drains, venous work, and biopsies in addition to Diagnostic Radiology interpretations. The ideal candidate will be the "face of the practice" in the reading room of the hospital, performing a mix of the procedures listed below and diagnostic imaging (DI) interpretation as able outside of procedures. Physician extenders (PA, NP) are available to assist with workload at larger sites. Mentoring is provided to instill confidence and build case log where needed. Will be able to have both on-site shifts as described, and at-home DI shifts as available and at the needs of the practice. The position includes a generous compensation package and a full slate of benefits. Benefits include 401k plan with immediate vesting, as well as health, life, disability, malpractice insurance coverage, and 14 weeks of PTO.

Required Procedures:
  • Core image guided procedures (paracentesis, thoracentesis, lumbar puncture, myelograms, joint injections/aspirations, etc.)
  • Image guided biopsies and drainages
  • Epidural Steroid Injection (interlaminar, transforaminal)
  • Facet Joint Injection
  • Central Line placement (tunneled and non-tunneled)
  • Line Management
  • Shunt management (declot, angioplasty, etc.)
  • Port placement
  • PICC Line placement
  • IVC Filter placement & removal
  • Embolizations

Optional and Strongly Preferred Procedures:
  • Kyphoplasty & Vertebroplasty
  • Biliary procedures
  • Sirtex Y-90
  • TIPS
  • Thrombolysis

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Candidates must be a Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy, and residency trained in the practice of Diagnostic Radiology
  • Board certified/eligible by the American Board of Radiology or the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology or board certified in both Diagnostic and Vascular Interventional Radiology
  • Completed post-residency fellowship training in vascular interventional radiology
  • Licensed in or have the ability to be licensed in the state of TN and KY
