Summary

The Interventional Radiology Scheduler position is responsible for all aspects of scheduling interventional radiology procedures from the initial call for consultation, obtaining pre-authorization for interventional radiology procedures and scheduling the procedure while providing an exceptional customer experience. Responsibilities include utilizing a practice management system to facilitate access to care through registration, scheduling and recording of patient communications. Coordination of the radiologists schedule and availabilities ensuring no timing conflicts occur across modalities. Handles a variety of incoming customer inquiries or requests and uses appropriate resources to provide complete, accurate responses. Proficiency in EPIC and PACs. Ability to speak bilingual is helpful. Expert understanding of all modalities, invasive radiology procedures, and diagnosis related scheduling procedures. Serves all duties of the role of Radiology Clerk when not involved in scheduling or pre-authorization process.
