Schedule: Full Time
Shift : Mon-Fri 8-4:30p or 8:30-5p depending on scheduled procedures for the day. Holidays and call will be mandatory

• AdventHealth is expanding our medical expertise, innovation, and state-of-the-art technology to southern Hillsborough County through a brand-new hospital in Riverview, which is scheduled to open in 2024.
• The new AdventHealth Riverview hospital will include 82 beds at time of opening with space to expand to 202 beds in the future. • This $250 million project in Riverview also includes a 100,000 square foot, four-story Medical Office Building that will provide community members convenient access to expert care.
• AdventHealth Riverview will offer a wide range of health care services which includes emergency, cardiovascular, digestive, urology, orthopedic and women's care.

The role you'll contribute:

Actively participate in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Under general supervision, the Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist II performs sterile radiographic (IR) procedures and administers contrast agents at a technical level. Takes call as rotated/assigned and responds (in hospital) within 30 minutes. Provides safe care and processing of patients ranging in age from newborn to geriatric.

• Performs a full range of IR procedures. Utilizes the knowledge and skills for age-specific factors necessary to perform safe and effective procedures on patients of all ages (neonate/infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatrics). The knowledge and skills are acquired through formal training, Inservice, continuing education and/or experience. Willing to learn/adapt to new technologies and protocols. Addresses patient needs, questions and anxieties
• Utilizes proper positioning criteria and technical exposure factors. Ensures study has correct patient demographics and RT/LT annotation when post processing. Inputs procedural charges into the computer system. Confirms proper exam/patient before releasing images to PACS
• Attends department meetings consistently and promotes positive dialogue with respect to department objectives. Listens and is responsible to understand all agenda items
• Assists physician with sterile procedures, anticipates their needs and is knowledgeable of all necessary equipment and supplies. Ensures aseptic techniques are observed. Removes sheaths and holds arterial pressure until hemostasis. Utilizes two patient identifiers to confirm patient/exam accuracy before administering exam
