A media client is seeking a strong backend Quality Engineer to join their video team. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality of the software products through testing and QA processes. You will work with 3 other engineers to build, test, and release video products across various applications and platforms.

Required Skills & Experience

* 5+ years proven experience working as a backend test automation software QA engineer within a video environment

* Experience working on cloud infrastructure like AWS/GCP, Kubernetes, Docker and GitHub/Jenkins

* Strong working knowledge in Python

* Experience developing and maintaining Python automated test framework (or similar) and familiarity with a range of automated test strategies.

* Experience with H.264/AVC, H.265/HEVC, VP9, AAC video and audio codec standards.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

* Understanding of Ad insertion, encryption and advanced video features.

* Background using ffmpeg, subjective and objective video/picture quality testing
