INVENTORY TECHNICIAN

To provide inventory and technical support to the Capital Fiscal Services Department in fixed asset management and control.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Incumbent must achieve the following outcomes with or without reasonable accommodation:

• Maintains Purchase Order recordkeeping and issues fixed asset barcodes to school and administrative sites.
• Performs required follow-up regarding outstanding barcodes and asset being received in TipWeb IT.
• Works with school personnel and administrative departments in barcoding fixed assets.
• Provides customer service, guidance and troubleshooting for fixed asset processes and in TipWeb IT to APS employees.
• Seasonally conducts scanning of fixed asset equipment for the District to validate financial system records.
• Maintains proper fixed asset forms, logs, etc. in an orderly manner.

• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Flexibility, organization, decision-making skills.
• Interpersonal skills with diverse populations; in-person and on the telephone.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficient with word processing and spreadsheet software.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid New Mexico driver license.
• One year of clerical accounting department experience or one year of physical inventory/barcoding experience or a combination of the two.
