Investment Analyst to join on to the Wealth Management Team. Need a Data Analyst with a background in Wealth Management.
Description:
Responsible for coordinating the successful delivery of complex Data Management initiatives working with cross functional teams. Will work closely with the product owner to execute on a roadmap to support management reporting for Wealth & Private Banking by building a Wealth Data Mart.

- PowerBI - Nice to Have
- Subject matter experience in the data models of Brokerage (Pershing), Trust (FIS Trust Desk), Annuities and Life Insurance . Should have supported operational & management reporting for Wealth teams supporting individuals /LLCs .
- Trust & Brokerage is a must have.
Description:
Responsible for coordinating the successful delivery of complex Data Management initiatives working with cross functional teams. Will work closely with the product owner to execute on a roadmap to support management reporting for Wealth & Private Banking by building a Wealth Data Mart.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY:
- Partners in the development and implementation of detailed project and work plans for efforts.
- Elicits requirements from business owners. Documents and maintain the data mapping, metadata and business rules for the bank's wealth and private banking data.
- Provides detailed technical specs for data engineering .
- Conducts UAT and documents test cases
- Analyze existing reporting to make recommendations for a dimensional data model to support target state reporting in Tableau or other BI tools like PowerBI
- Conducts design sessions with business, data engineering to agree on granularity of the data that is required to support current and target use cases.
- Analyzes the data within the bank, identifies issues and makes recommendations to ensure adherence to consistent definitions, business naming standards, development of standard calculations, security requirements, etc.
- Develops and enforces methods and validation mechanisms for ensuring data quality and accuracy for the data sets in the Wealth Consumption /Wealth Data Mart.
- Entrusted with improving, and maintaining a high level of, data quality.
- Develops metrics and reporting requirements for ongoing monitoring of the bank's data. Identifies any issuers or anomalies in the quality of data within the bank's systems.
- Prioritizes the resolution of data quality related issues; counsels' business and technology representatives to have them resolved.
- Can define templates for artifacts which would be delivered as part of the data management function and interact with stakeholders from the lines of business.
- Support project planning, management, and requirements to ensure best practices are followed with regards to the build of the data mart
- Definition and implementation of Data Quality Controls and data movement controls
- Makes recommendations to ensure adherence to consistent definitions, business naming standards, development of standard calculations, security requirements, etc.
- Prioritization of Data Quality issues for remediation
- Knowledge of industry leading data quality and data protection management practices
- Basic Knowledge of data governance practices, business and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets and approaches related to data protection.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills coupled with thoroughness and attention to detail is desired.
- SQL query skills for independent data analysis
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work with people across multiple work-streams.

- Bachelor's Degree Information Management Systems, Finance
- 8-10 years of experience in financial industry
- Subject matter experience in the data models of Brokerage (Pershing), Trust (FIS Trust Desk), Annuities and Life Insurance . Should have supported operational & management reporting for Wealth teams supporting individuals /LLCs .
- Trust & Brokerage is a must have.
- Expertise in metrics used by Wealth functions to evaluate Wealth teams and business.
- Good working knowledge of BI tools preferably Tableau and /or Power BI .
- Knowledge of Alteryx
- Familiar with Jira and other agile working methodologies
- Prior experience in Cognos would be beneficial to analyze existing reports.
- Experience with regulatory reporting for Wealth is a plus.
- Data Governance & Data Quality
- Data Analytics
- Financial Industry experience preferably in a Wealth Management function
- Basic understanding of Data Governance tools like Collibra
- Experience with databases ( Oracle, SQL Server , DB2)
- Knowledge of Python.
- Any experience with Loans & Deposits domains for a Private Bank is also helpful
