The Iowa Wild professional hockey team is seeking an enthusiastic and responsible individual to serve as one of our Audio/Sound Engineers for the 2024-25 season. This opportunity is primarily a "Game Day Experience" for those looking to enter the sports and entertainment industry. The position provides a great opportunity to utilize your creative talents to provide a thrilling and upbeat live sound experience to fans at Iowa Wild home games. The Audio/Sound Engineer works in tandem with our Control Room to provide a seamless Game Presentation experience. Responsibilities/Essential Functions
  • Schedule and organize audio content for Iowa Wild home games, ensuring a seamless and professional listening experience for our audience.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions in a timely manner to ensure smooth production and delivery of audio content.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of audio production techniques, industry trends, and best practices to continuously improve the quality of our content.
  • Organize audio files, ensuring efficient and accurate storage and retrieval.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with team members, management, and other stakeholders.
  • Take ownership and responsibility for the success of audio content, ensuring it follows game presentation script and exceeds expectations.
  • Manage the preparation and execution of live audio/sound entertainment during intermissions.
  • Bring the ENERGY, EXCITEMENT, and FUN, as you interact with fans as ambassadors to the Iowa Wild and Wells Fargo Arena.
  • Available to work 90% of Iowa Wild home games during the 2024-25 AHL season.
  • Provide excellent customer service to guests in the arena.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
Formal Education & Certification
  • Some post-secondary education is preferred, not required.
Knowledge & Experience
  • Previous experience managing sound for concerts and events preferred, not required.

Work Conditions
  • Flexible schedule, with ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays for home games.
  • Ability to stand/sit up to 5 hours at a time.
  • Physical requirements include sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, lifting, grasping, etc.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
  • Work in an environment with moderate to loud noise.
