This is a 12 month limited term position that may be terminated, extended or made permanent at any time.
The reporting location for this position is Energy Safety Office Headquarters located at 715 P Street, 20th floor Sacramento, CA 95814. This position will work under the general supervision of a Information Technology Manager I.
This is a remote-centered telework position that will telework 90% of the time. A teleworker is considered Remote-centered if they work fifty percent (50%) or more of their time from an alternate work location (e.g., employee's home).
Under general direction of the Chief Information Officer (IT Manager I), the incumbent will support IT project management and application development operations within the Office of Energy Infrastructure Safety by performing critical functions related to application design and maintenance, project management, vendor management andother tasks related to the department's cloud-based Azure application environment.
Incumbents typically work in the Software Engineering, Information Security Engineering, Information Technology Project Management, or System Engineering domains

The mission of the Office of Energy Infrastructure Safety (Energy Safety) is to advance long-term utility infrastructure safety through data-driven, wildfire mitigation evaluation and compliance, excavation standards and education, in collaboration with local, state, and federal agencies, and in support of improved utility infrastructure, safety culture, and innovation.
