IT Infrastructure Project Manager

Work Location: Vancouver, BC
Contract Term: 12 months, renewable up to 2 + years

Our client, a global leading IT company, is looking for an IT Infrastructure Project Manager.

The project is for Infrastructure refresh and includes all aspects of Architecture/Design/Deployment for Networking & Storage devices across multiple sites within the Greater Vancouver Area.
The PM will take the lead to oversee, manage, schedule/organize, document, present and be a central focal along from an organization and management perspective. Technical work will be led by the architect who will work with sub teams.

The requirements must meet/be able to:

Project management services from a Metro-Vancouver-based, current PMP-certified Project Manager (PM), aligned to the Project Management Institute Inc.'s Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) Standards; to oversee planning, design, implementation, and closeout activities.
Proponent to provide resumes for the candidates with relevant experience in project management (at least 10 years) and infrastructure / network implementation / refresh.
The PM must be available for all meetings and participate in defined project governance structure.
PM to create Project Charter, Integrated Project Plan, Change Requests and Close-Out report.
PM to prepare any presentations for the approval of project / architecture related documents. E.g., Project Charter, budget, schedule, architecture diagrams, blueprints etc. Coordinate all meetings as required and document and provide minutes of all meetings.
Provide a minimum of weekly project status reports (including schedule and cost reporting) to be discussed at scheduled review meetings. Daily status reports will be required for planning and design phases in addition to community campus implementations within the week prior to and week following device implementations.
The Contractor should provide a detailed work plan of the services it will provide (in MS-Project format), including all tasks, milestones, and timelines, which may include but not be limited to providing a chart, graphic, or other tool. The names of the individuals performing each task should be included. The Contractor shall provide a project-gating mechanism within the schedule to ensure appropriate oversight and corrective actions can be applied. Project-gating should be such that designs are required prior to installation work and optimized such that smaller sites can proceed once gating requirements are satisfied.

Pay rate $90/HR - $110/HR
