Under the general direction of the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), the Information Technology Manager I (ITMI) will serve as a key member of the Information Security Office (ISO) within the Information Technology Services Division (ITSD). This position's duties and activities include alignment of the California Public Utilities Commission's (CPUC), strategic goals, and business objectives with California state information security regulatory and compliance requirements. The above includes responsibilities for formulating long-range security objectives, protecting the agency's information systems, assets, and technologies; identifying and remediating security gaps; the development, management, and implementation of information security policies and subsequent audits; the management and facilitation of the CPUC's information security awareness and training program, ensuring the agency's Privacy compliance program adheres to state Privacy requirements; and the planning, implementation, and management of security related products and services.

Working Conditions

This is a statewide recruitment. This position can be filled in the following locations: San Francisco or Sacramento.

This position requires travel.
