D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for an IT Procurement Specialist. The right candidate will be responsible for the procurement of hardware and software.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Responsible for the procurement of hardware in support of company-wide IT requests
  • Maintain inventory levels necessary to fulfill equipment requests on material shipped from the corporate office to end-users
  • Responsible for the procurement of software, maintenance of licensing information and inventory of software media
  • Update inventory system with new product part number and descriptions for issuance of purchase orders
  • Track order status with vendors and provides status to customers on outstanding requests. Work directly with shipping and receiving on order issues and changes
  • Issue Purchase Order and Lease Equipment Order requests from other team members and departments
  • Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
  • Assist in processing receipts of open orders and recording of assets into inventory records
  • Assist as necessary in the processing of IT requests
  • Ability to work overtime


Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Two to three years related experience/training
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently to balance competing deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize deadlines
  • Possess strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applications
  • Proficiency with MS Office and email
  • Ability to sit for majority of 8-hour workday; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral vision


Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Supply Chain Management a plus
  • JD Edwards experience a plus
