Responsibilities

  • Act as UPC and ISM working in parallel with Athletics IT staff to ensure best practices are followed for the deployment and management of technology.
  • Works with Information Security and Privacy Office, FSU Procurement and General Counsel on the review and execution of agreements for technology products and services.
  • Acts as the department's PCI-DSS coordinator and is responsible for the annual attestation of PCI-DSS compliance.
  • Support the Risk Management Program. Completes Seminole Secure Risk Assessment. Supports the Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery and the PCI Program by performing required IT assessments and vulnerability scans, interpreting results and developing associated reports.
  • Assume a leadership technical role in the event of major information security incidents: investigate intrusions, malware, unauthorized access; perform computer forensics following evidentiary best practices, document findings, determine appropriate procedures to eradicate malicious software, limit damage and return affected devices to a secure and protected state.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or other appropriate degree and two years' experience, or a high school diploma or equivalent and experience equal to six years. (Note: post-high school education may substitute for experience at the equivalent rate.)
