Our IT Business Intelligence and Data Management Department is seeking a Service Manager responsible for the successful strategy, leadership and enablement of data transformation and reporting solutions and support staff as well as the prioritization of efforts, maintenance, systems, applications, and services. IT Service Managers work closely with senior decision makers within the organization to recommend, implement, and support cost effective technology solutions that enable business objectives.

Starting Pay: The pay range for this position is $125,000 - $177,501 annually. The pay determination is based on the applicant's education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance.

Be ready to
  • set the mission and vision for IT Business Intelligence and Data Management customer-based teams to foster a customer focused culture and mindset driven by continual service improvement
  • work with tenured SMEs to create operational roadmaps that incorporate directorship goals and include resource allocation needs
  • be a trusted advisor and partner, building and maintaining relationships with both technical and business leaders to develop a deep understanding of business needs and priorities and ensure efficient delivery of IT services
  • manage and adhere to annual staffing and budget models; provide recommendations for service area needs during annual planning
  • partner with Resource Management Office to define clear performance standards and expectations for associates
  • act as a change leader for assigned service area(s), focused on excellent customer experiences
  • be creative and innovative with regards to your knowledge and awareness of industry trends and digital advances as they relate to new opportunities and business needs
  • participate in hiring activities and provide employment recommendations for technical staff
  • participates in the development, modification, and execution of policies
  • manage third-party partner relationships who provide critical support and services; provide recommendations on appropriate staffing levels comprised of internal and external resources to support the effective delivery of services and overall business strategy
  • instill purpose in team members through effective collaboration, engagement, communication of strategic vision and the alignment of associate contributions
  • application & Compliance with GITC, Vendor Management and ISO Policies
Be equipped to
  • utilize enterprise leadership skills with a strong focus on IT strategy and execution

Be equipped with

  • 5+ years IT management/leadership experience in complex service delivery environments; database management, application support, and reporting knowledge preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field; insurance and/or technical accreditations preferred
  • experience managing and adhering to operational & strategic plans, complex budgets, and value creation
  • experience negotiating with third parties and developing statements of work and contracts for services
  • prior experience with service management, IT operations & enterprise technology platforms
  • experience with Remedy or other ITSM platforms
  • familiarity with ITIL principles, including incident, change and problem management
  • experience with compliance requirements such as HIPAA, SOX, and FDA GxP
  • strong interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
  • work collaboratively across IT departments and the business
  • demonstrated experience in building high-functioning and efficient team(s)
