Job Duties
In this role, you will provide IT hardware and software support for JYF-specific application software and specialized IT hardware to various end users, in support of the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation's mission and strategic goals. The successful candidate should be prepared to offer excellent customer service, solve problems efficiently, resolve assigned tasks in a timely manner, provide detailed and accurate documentation, while remaining reliable, and flexible. This position is more than just Desktop Applications support - you may be tasked with installing software on multiple new computers, setting up Point-of-Sale systems, attaching and configuring various printers and peripherals, as well as assisting in the disposal of legacy equipment.
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge of hardware management systems concepts and routine hardware support - ethernet network support and reporting concepts. Knowledge of Microsoft networks: cabling, switches, and routers.
Working knowledge of MSSQL, ODBC, Xerox printers and networking protocols.
Ability to identify and understand complex technical issues, evaluate options and implement solutions.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Suite and Outlook 365.
Strong knowledge of MS Windows, Apple OS, Android and iOS operating systems.
Strong knowledge of website design and HTML / CSS coding and website maintenance.
Must have strong organizational skills and ability to coordinate multiple work projects
simultaneously.
Must be a motivated self-starter.
Ability to analyze customer business needs, identify solutions and/or make product recommendations.
Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written communication.
Must have valid driver's license.
Additional Considerations
Previous experience in the Information Technology industry.
Current CompTIA A+. Network+, Security+, Microsoft MD-100 or higher or other applicable certifications a plus.
