Interviews are anticipated to be conducted within two weeks of closing date. This position may work out of our Santa Fe or Albuquerque office. The NM Department of Information Technology Enterprise Services program provides the State with the information technology fabric that enables agencies to innovate and excel in their specific domains. The goal of the program is to consolidate services previously duplicated within agencies in order to promote cost savings and efficiencies. This is accomplished through the delivery and management of cost effective and efficient information technology infrastructure services, enterprise applications, and other value-added IT services.

This posting will be used to fill multiple vacancies and interviews will take place within 2 weeks of closing.

Why does the job exist?

This position is responsible for the design, installation, configuration, optimization, maintenance and of integrity of highly complex information systems within a hybrid on premises/Microsoft Azure (Entra ID) environment utilizing primarily O365 services.

How does it get done?

This position will assist with oversight, management and administration of O365 services.
Duties may include but not limited to:
- Work with agencies who want to onboard as Hybrid AD and assist with Azure AD connect to migrate on-prem AD to Entra AD
- Usage of powershell scripts for bulk tasks
- Identity management, group security management in Azure Active Directory
- Compliance and policy management
- Administrative Units and permissions
- Assist in role based access controls, device management, Windows Defender

All New Mexico state agencies participating in the SoNM Digital Workspace enterprise service.

Ideal Candidate

Experience in Active Directory Management ¿ AD global group security management, AD user creation and identity
management, AD group policy management or related experience in Microsoft Azure Active Directory
- Knowledge of Microsoft Intune & Defender
- Experience with powershell
- Experience with device management and GPO or equivalent experience in M365
- Experience with anti-virus and patch management
- Experience responding to tickets, calls and diagnose and develop solutions/repair
- Experience making recommendations for changes and process improvements

Minimum Qualification

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), Information Technology, Engineering or similar technical degree and four (4) years of experience in systems administration. Substitutions Apply. See Substitution Table below.

Working Conditions

Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive phone and personal computer usage. Ability to be mobile and work between Santa Fe and Albuquerque offices. Office settings in both Santa Fe and Albuquerque offices; direct client interaction and some travel may be required. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle.
