Position Details:
• Title: IT Systems Engineer
• Location: Conroe, TX (40 miles north of downtown Houston)
• Travel/Schedule: You generally will work standard day-shift hours Mon-Fri
• Compensation: Base salary can vary widely depending on your specific experience; ~$70K - $90K is a reasonable target.

Position Description: As an IT Systems Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in being the primary point of contact for ensuring all IT-related questions at the user level are addressed, responding to user needs in a timely manner, and ensuring the optimal running of all systems. Some other specific responsibilities include:
• Use monitoring tools to keep track of systems, software, and hardware, and quickly identifying and resolving network issues
• Identify and eliminate performance bugs and hardware malfunctions in computer systems.
• Install and configure computer hardware and software systems and networks across organizations.
• Enhance system performance: Identify potential areas for improvement and implementing suggestions, such as code optimization.
• Set up accounts for new users.
• Provide technical support across the company, either in person or over the phone.
• Repair and replace equipment as needed.
• Test new technology
• Contribute to product development; collaborate with the product development team to identify and resolve recurring software bugs.
• Develop and maintain customer relationships; work with customers to troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues.

In order to be successful in this role you should have Extensive working knowledge of Office 365 (Microsoft 365), Exchange Online, OneDrive, and SharePoint online, and be proficient in Azure administration and configuration of virtual machines, including conditional access. You should be proficient in Windows OS, Active Directory, Group Policy and File Server Windows (Server 2016/2022 and Windows 10 & 11) and have experience with various Anti-virus software packages. Experience with virtualization Hyper-V, LAN/WAN, DNS, DHCP, firewall and Wireless (Wi-Fi) Network Configuration & troubleshooting and Printer/Scanners Setup & Configuration is expected. You should also have thorough familiarity with Firewalls like Sophos, Cyberoam, SonicWALL & SonicWALL, VPN configuration and troubleshooting VPN-related issues.
