Job Summary

Under general supervision of the IT service delivery manager, provide an accounting of all inventory items and interface with other department staff for IT orders. This function will require the use of computer workstations to update databases, sorting and tracking procured items, and provide regular reporting of the available items. Maintains safe and clean working environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; safeguard warehouse operations and contents by following security procedures, control inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with asset management system.

Maintains physical condition of warehouse by inspecting equipment, issuing work orders for repair if needed. Maintains storage area by organizing floor space, adhering to storage design principles, and recommending improvements. Maintains inventory by conducting physical counts, reconciling variances, imputing data. Secures warehouse by turning alarms on; testing systems. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.

Responsibilities



  • Manages warehouse inventory and maintains spreadsheets and asset management application.
  • Coordinates and schedules the movement of products throughout the warehouse including storage and shipment of finished products.
  • Implements daily production and shipping plan, arranging for excess stock to be stored in warehouse.
  • Manages daily flow of finished products by modifying storage space assignments.
  • Operates forklift to store goods in identified areas.
  • Manually handles, repacks, or restacks pallets of product as needed.
  • Welcome delivery trucks.
  • Receive and track shipments.
  • Embark merchandise in delivery trucks using appropriate tools.
  • Accommodate and carefully handle fragile merchandise.
  • Track and document exact shipment arrival and departure times.
  • Tag and label merchandise.

    • Label and stockpile merchandise according to purchase order.
  • Box, wrap and pack the merchandise in accordance with relevant procedures and standards.
  • Prepare hardware for shipment.
  • Record and manage all impaired or damaged merchandise items.
  • Enter data in inventory and logistics software programs.
  • Performs other related duties as directed.


Qualifications

  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Forklift certification within 90 days of job entry date.
