Job description

Infosys is seeking a Java Backend Developer - In the role, you will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture knowledge and Design. You will play an important role in creating the high-level design artifacts. You will also deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition, and warranty. Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Richardson, TX or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require relocation and or travel to project locations.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology
• Experience with Core Java, Spring Framework, Hibernate.
• Experience with spring boot micro services API development from scratch.
• Good knowledge of SQL commands, DB Procedures on Oracle, Postgress DBs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Cassandra, Kafka & Camunda would be an added advantage.
• Experience in Kubernetes,CI/CD, Jenkins.
• Experience in software development life cycle.
• Experience in translating functional/non-functional requirements to system requirements.
• To be able to design according to functional and non-functional needs and be able to provide multiple solution options, tech stack and be able to drive design decisions for a project / application.
• Possesses strong knowledge of application development technologies, tools, methodologies as well as all functional areas in IT organization.
• Experience and understanding of Production support and performance engineering.
• Experience in batch and online debugging.
• Ability to work in team environment and client interfacing skills.
• Experience in Project life cycle activities on development and maintenance projects.
• Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment.
• Analytical skills
• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements
