• Provides counsel and advice to top management on significant Automation Engineering matters often requiring coordination between organizations
• Provides expertise in the engineering design installation and startup of automated systems
• Acts as the principal designer for complex major automated systems and their subsystems utilizing a thorough understanding of available technology tools and existing designs
• May contribute to process validation and facility automation
• Provides comprehensive consultation to business unit and IT management and staff at the highest technical level on all phases of engineering design installation and startup
• Works closely with client and IT management and staff to identify automated solutions new or modified systems reuse of existing machineryequipment or integration of purchased solutions or a combination of the available alternatives
• Researches and evaluates alternatives and recommends the most efficient and cost effective automated solutions
• Documents tests implements and provides ongoing support for systems
• Focuses on providing thought leadership and technical expertise across multiple disciplines
• Recognized internally as the goto person for the most complex Automation Engineer assignments
