As a Certified Surgical Technician you are responsible for the following:
The Non- Certified Surgical Technician Student functions as a member of the intraoperative healthcare team. He/she performs specific tasks to assist the surgical team in ways that values the uniqueness of each individual and addresses the physical, psychological, emotional, and social needs of the diversity of patients served by Jefferson Health, and is competent to provide care for all patient populations. The Surgical Technician Student is responsible for the creation and maintenance of the sterile field. The Surgical Technician Student accurately and efficiently anticipates surgeon's needs intraoperatively by applying comprehensive knowledge of operative procedures, equipment, anatomy and surgeons preferences. The Surgical Technician Student works closely with all perioperative team members during the preoperative, intraoperative, and post-operative care of the surgical patient. The Surgical Technician Student also supports decontamination and sterile supply area, and maintains courteous and professional interactions with the patients and staff.

- High School Diploma
- Enrolled in OR Technician training program
- BLS Certification required.
- OR Technician certification required within 6 months of hire
- Full Time Day shift/ 40 hrs
