Primary Purpose:
Instruct students with disabilities placed on job training sites. Complete job tasks for students who are unable to perform such tasks until students have mastered all job responsibilities. Assist students in learning company policy. Assist students with interpersonal communication skills, identifying problems, and with methods of problem solving.

Customer Care Skills:
Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals
Posture: Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting
Motion: Repetitive hand motions including frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching
Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds)
Environment: May work prolonged or irregular hours; frequent districtwide travel; occasional statewide travel and out-of-state travel. Any special requirements needed in working with students in vocational settings.
Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions, maintain emotional control under stress. Work with employers in local businesses who provide experiences for students on site.

Qualifications: Education/Certification:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Paraprofessional Certificate
- Must have good oral and written communication skills
- Class C/Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Preferred
- One year direct experience with disabled or disadvantaged students
- Such other alternatives to the above qualifications as the administration might find appropriate and acceptable.
- Co-Supervise students in the work setting.
- Instruct students on job duties/responsibilities and company policy.
- Provide a positive role model for students.
- As required, counsel students on grooming and hygiene, problem solving, and other job-related skills.
- Document student progress on the job.
- Document student time and attendance on the job.
- Work with jobsite supervisor to understand job competencies and develop a plan for student growth.
- Performs other duties as the superintendent may assign.

- Provide professional communication with students, parents, community members, staff and other professionals at all times.
- Use proper phone etiquette at all times, speaking slowly and clearly. Take reliable messages, and route to appropriate staff.
- Ensure superior customer care skills are used via eye contact, facial expressions, voice inflections, body language, and an attitude of "going the extra mile" for others.
- Ensure all requests for information are dealt with in an appropriate timeframe.
- Create and maintain a welcoming, service-oriented environment toward all internal and external customers.
