Job Description - WDC Administrative/ Operations Manager

The Workforce Development Center (WDC) at Cincinnati State is the region's leading workforce training and education center. Located at the Evendale campus, we support our college mission by offering fast-paced micro-credentials and custom programming. This position requires a generalist who will meet the operational needs of WDC while contributing to process improvements and community engagement.

Essential Duties:

Accreditation Compliance
  • Manage WDC credit offerings in the Curriculum Information Management system and coordinate HLC compliance including necessary reports, documentation, evidence and assist with APCC meetings, as needed.

Process Management/Reporting
  • Evaluate and improve WDC processes with input from affected staff including e-form management and other processes.
  • Develop and generate monthly financial and customer performance data for proper GL code maintenance

Human Resources
  • Develop, manage and coordinate hiring processes with HR. Coordinate professional development opportunities for WDC staff.

Grants/Scholarships
  • Act as lead contact for WDC grants by managing internal and external relationships, completing and submitting reports, assisting in seeking and writing new grants as well as administering scholarships for WDC students

Facilities/Public Safety/IT
  • Manage WDC facility needs in collaboration with the college's facilities department and act as site contact for service vendors.
  • Conduct daily WDC facility walk-throughs/tours and facilitate classroom setups/safety audits for day and evening classes.
  • Coordinate public safety coverage and troubleshoot IT issues, coordinating with the college's IT department.

Supervision
  • Oversee Client Management Specialist positions and their functions, ensuring compliance with the SEIU contract where appropriate
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field from a regionally accredited college or university
  • A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in related to administrative coordination and management
  • Experience monitoring financial reports
  • Experience troubleshooting first-level technology issues
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills that include working experience in Microsoft Word, Excel PowerPoint and Outlook, and Access
  • Availability to work early mornings, nights and weekends. A flexible schedule is required.
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to locations in Butler, Hamilton, and Warren Counties.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2+ years higher education experience
  • 3+ years of experience in B2B sales and service delivery
  • Project management and process management experience

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours at a time
  • Ability to lift/move packages (up to 40 lbs.) on an intermittent basis
