Jr. Software Developer
St. Louis, Missouri
Team: 7 Full time employees and 7 Offshore employees.
Team provides level 3 support. It's a pure support role but at the highest level. Team triages, go through server logs, and drives to resolution. Must have good communication skills and ability to collabo*** with sister teams.
On-call (1-2 times per month).
Requirements:
- Java or .NET (they have applications in both and will be assigned to the ones that match their skillset)
- 2+ years of experience as an Engineer with development background
- Understanding of relational databases. Unix commands, gather requirements, solve problems.
They support 8 applications in the portfolio. 2 are customized and highly visible...send communications to customers when new services are ordered, statements are ready, etc. Deliver SMS and email communications to the customers. New versions and enhancements being rolled out this October for UCC and this team will be in full swing. Previously had a vendor that was handling the delivery and support. Charter is bringing this work in-house and everything really kicks off after this major Fall release.
Recently built internal platform using AWS to get communications out to customers. Complex business rules are in place since proper content needs to be sent out to customers.
Besides UCC, TMS is the other highly visible app. It's an automation and test management platform. It is used to move data from one source to another. Pulls data from biller and sends to fulfillment, UCC, etc. 10,000 jobs sending data all over the place.
3 apps are used for business management. Other apps supported include Cloud Portal, RMS (Resource Management used by HR, etc), and ETAS used for customer complaints
