The duties include but are not limited to:
  • Serve as the JROTC Cadre Leader on the STEMWorkII Leadership Team to support Academy Replication Sites STEM Leadership Team.
  • Assist STEMWorksll Leadership Team with planning related to providing support to the replication sites.
  • Participate in monthly virtual support meetings with each sites' STEM Leadership Team.
  • Provide guidance specifically to a replication site's JROTC Cadre Leader, a member of their STEM Leadership Team, drawing on insights gleaned from previous experience with the Mobile Academy.
  • Help plan for and participate in the annual Implementers Conference held in July, 2025.
  • Manage the budget for the remainder of the Grant and ensure all reports are submitted to DoD STEM on behalf of Principal Investigator as required.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Alabama Teacher Certification in field of application.

Four years of public school teaching experience in a JR OTC program.

Previous experience as part of the Cadre leadership team for the MCPSS JROTC STEM Leadership Academy.

Knowledgeable about the US Army requirements for a hybrid JCLC summer camp. Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written.

Access to and comfortable with using technology and standard word processing and spreadsheet tools, e.g., MS Word and
Excel.

Available to meet either virtually or in person with STEMWorksll LLC leaders monthly and virtually with replication sites' STEM Leadership team monthly.

Note: Position involves flexible schedule. Remote work is authorized using teleconference and email.
September 15, 2024-September 14, 2025 - 10 days per month

SALARY: Prorated using the above schedule based on an annual full time salary of $74,447.00.

**Applicants selected for certified positions must undergo (or have undergone) an ABI/FBI criminal history background check (fingerprinting administered through sites selected and approved by the MCPSS and State of Alabama Education Department) and be declared suitable and fit to teach under state law. Applicants selected must also pass a drug-screening test via forms provided by Human Resources during the selection process.**
