SAIC is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Force Protection team as an Entry-Level Systems Engineer in Huntsville, Alabama.

In this role, you will assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization's systems infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or a passionate individual looking to kickstart their career in systems engineering and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

• Support the design, deployment, and maintenance of virtual and physical infrastructure, including servers, clients, storage, hypervisors, operating systems and peripheral devices.
• Assist in monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and providing timely resolutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather system requirements and contribute to solutions that align with business objectives.
• Assist in implementing and maintaining system security measures to protect data and mitigate risks.
• Participate in system capacity planning to ensure scalability and optimal performance.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices related to systems engineering.
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of system documentation, including configurations, procedures, and policies.
• Provide support to senior team members and learn from their expertise.

Qualifications

Required Education:

Bachelors and zero (0) years related experience; Four (4) years of experience considered in lieu of degree.

Requirements:

• Basic understanding of client / server relationships, virtualization, and networking.
• Familiarity with network protocols, such as TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
• Knowledge of server hardware and operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.).
• Experience with tech refresh initiatives, including planning, execution, and migration strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Eagerness to learn and develop new skills in systems engineering.
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work.

Clearance:

Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a full Secret clearance.
