The University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine, founded in 1946, is dedicated to training future veterinarians, providing services to animal owners and veterinarians, and conducting investigations to improve the health of animals as well as people. The college benefits pets and their owners, food-producing animals, and wildlife by offering the highest quality hospital and diagnostic laboratory services. Duties/Responsibilities

Feed, water and care for research animals (chickens/turkeys). Clean cages, rooms, isolation units and equipment in assigned areas. Maintain assigned areas according to SOPs (in an orderly and sanitary manner). Routinely handle, restrain, relocate and transport animals within facilities.

Maintain accurate records including animal inventory, feed inventory, house pens, identification tags, cleaning solutions and care schedules.
