Job Description: Responsible for the collection of laboratory specimens according to laboratory protocol and procedures. Acts as an
assistant for laboratory techs as needed and/or directed with respect to specified CLIA waived testing. Requires
moderate supervision. General Supervisor must be on site.

Qualifications

Education:
High school graduate or equivalent as defined by CLIA'88; current Nevada licensure/certification for Laboratory Assistant.

Experience:
Two years experience as a Phlebotomist

License/Certification: Nevada State Licensure as Laboratory Assistant. Certification from ASCP or equivalent
preferred.


Technical Skills: Certification from ASCP, or equivalent with Nevada Board approved program and demonstrate
the ability to collect various types of patient specimens.

Other:

Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide high quality of patient
care appropriately (specific age competent). Must possess appropriate people skills,
organization and attention to detail. Must desire to act as a resource and provide assistance as
required. Must demonstrate and maintain the ability to act as a Laboratory and Facility
representative with professionalism and respect to assure positive public perception.
