Job Description
Part Time Lab Courier stationed out of the?Edgewood location. Transports lab samples between physician offices and hospitals located in?the tristate area including Indiana, Kentucky, and Ohio by provided company vehicle. Rotating shifts could be 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift hours with majority?in the later afternoons to evening shifts.? There is a weekend and holiday rotation requirement to be determined.

Picks up and delivers specimens and reports various locations and physician offices for the timely completion of tests.

Maintains accurate specimen logs to insure complete and thorough tracking of all specimens.? Maintains accurate route logs in order to provide accountability for the use of resources of the Medical Center.

Delivers supplies to physician offices for proper test collection.

Maintains lab cars by performing routine safety checks and insures proper appearance and condition of cars. Comfortable with driving in all types of inclement weather.

Adheres to proper conditions for the transportation of specimens to maintain the quality of the specimen.

Performs all other duties as assigned to facilitate the efficient and cost-effective operation of the lab

Qualifications
Education, Credentials, Licenses:

High School graduate or GED.

Own transportation in case of emergency.?

Must have a valid driver's license.

Must be insurable by Medical Center Carrier.
