We are currently seeking a Lab Director Regional to join our team!!!
  • At the facility level, the director provides knowledge regarding all laboratory testing within the scope of services, develops policies and procedures to comply with all CLIA and Joint Commission requirements, and analyzes data and coordinates development of reports for medical director review and approval.
  • These duties will be similar to those a regional director must perform in other USPI facilities where they are shared.


Organizational Relationships:

Supervises: Lab supervisor, medical technologists, lab technicians, lab assistants, phlebotomists.

Contacts/Interacts with: CNO, medical director of lab services, physicians, other department heads.

Required Skills:

Education/License:

  • Bachelor's degree in medical technology or an appropriate biological/chemical/medical/health science from an accredited college or university. Mastered preferred.
  • Certification by one of the following accrediting agencies:

    MLS(ASCP) or categorical, HTL(ASCP), CT

    (ASCP), MT(HEW), MLS(AMT), or CLS(NCA).

Required Experience:

A minimum of 3 years' experience in an accredited laboratory.

- Ex perience with point-of-care Testing.

• Knowledge of governmental and regulating policies/standards.

• Basic computer skills.

- Ability to detect color and color changes.
