A client is seeking a Lab QA Manager in Oak Ridge, TN. This person is responsible for reviewing reports and the quality of the data supporting environmental monitoring samples. In this lab, water, grass, milk, fish, etc. are sampled and tested for very small levels of radiation to ensure that there are no issues with the nearby nuclear plant. These are environmental monitoring samples, this is NOT waste disposal from the plant. This QA Manager is reviewing reports and procedures and processing nonconformances.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of Quality Assurance in a lab

Experience running analytical samples (knowing different measurments and equipment)

ISO 17025 certified QA program, preferably specific to nuclear standards

Bach degree

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

REM reporting (radiological environmental monitoring)

Nuclear Procurement Issues Corporation (NUPIC) audits
