Fulltime - 40 hours per week

Shift: Monday - Friday 4:30am-1pm, weekend (4am-12:30pm), holiday and on-call rotations are required.

Working as a Lab Support Tech I at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center you will:

• Be assigned a primary function of laboratory support and follow approved laboratory procedure

• Receive and accession specimens using LIS; ensuring proper patient identification, specimen integrity and timeline

• Perform EPIC registration when necessary

• Follow CAP (College of American Pathologists) guideline

• Resolve test order related issues (test in question, sample in question) and manage add-on test

• Perform routine procedures within respective discipline, including the collection and investigation of data which will affect choices regarding patient care

• Accurately and completely document activities in HIS or LIS as appropriate

Qualifications:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• 0-2 years of experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Healthcare related experience
