Aid the team in watering greenhouse, maintaining greenhouse plants and cultures, mixing soil for greenhouse studies, and planting and harvesting greenhouse experiments.

Minimum Qualifications

Position Summary

This is an entry-level student research worker position. The incumbent will work during the summer to aid the Cotton and Vegetable Crops Nematology team on research related activities. Responsibilities for the incumbent include but are not limited to watering greenhouse, extracting nematode from soil, enumerating nematode eggs, collecting soil samples from field, mixing soil samples, aiding in harvesting and planting of crops, and cleaning laboratory supplies. Depending on performance, experience and interest the incumbent will be given the opportunity to conduct research on plant-parasitic nematode of cotton and vegetable crops. Such research findings can then be presented by the incumbent at national and international conferences.
