Summary

Part time position for undergraduate student to assist graduate students on projects pertaining to enteric viruses and vaccines. This will be an opportunity to work in a translational research laboratory and learn several virology, bacteriology, and molecular biology techniques.

Job Duties

• Performs bacterial growth curves in different media.
• Collects bacterial supernatants.
• Aliquots, stores, and catalogs bacterial samples.
• Assists with cell culture studies.
• Assists graduate students in conducting research experiments.
• Orders laboratory supplies and equipment.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• One year of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Course work in microbiology or immunology.
