Laboratory Technician

Our client, a fortune 500 company, is looking for a Lab/Assembly Technician, for a 12 month contract, who will preform laboratory tasks support the development of new products in Energy Markets. As a Lab Technician you will help with assembly and test of new EBO fiber optic connectors. .

Job Title: Lab Technician (Assembly Tech)

Location: Austin, TX 100% onsite

Pay Range: $19 to $22 p/h depending upon experience

What's the Job?

• Assembling new types of fiber optic connectors using detailed work procedures
• Testing the optical performance of new types of optical fiber connectors
• Working with other technicians and optical engineers to efficiently make and test connector samples for experimental investigations.

What's Needed?

• HS Diploma/GED.
• Some laboratory skills, (school or in a professional setting)
• Able to work with hands to assemble small parts.
• MS Excel, database entry
• May include up to 5% domestic travel
