Clarification from the agency

Duties
- Responsible for providing operational support to activities who provides support to customers in various scheduled events and functions. Performs duties alone or as a member of a work crew.
- Responsible for conference room configuration, beginning with organizing tables, chairs, audio/video equipment from storage to actual setup of this furniture/equipment in accordance with established banquet/special event orders.
- Moves heavy items of furniture and office equipment as required for the applicable conference/meeting set up. Responsible for breakdown and proper storage of this equipment in an efficient and organized manner.
- Cleans latrines and interior of building as needed. Mows grass, and removes weeds. Trims, edges, and prunes shrubs and trees. Waters plants and cleans drainage ditches.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para 2 to include a medical examination and Tier 1 background investigation.
- Must be willing to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
- Incumbent may also be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally controlled facilities.
- Requires frequent lifting and carrying of items weighting up to 40 pounds and occasionally 50 pounds.
- Required to stand, walk, bend and kneel for lengthy periods of time.

Area of Consideration:
- The Area of Consideration for this vacancy announcement is commuting area (50 miles) of the Presidio of Monterey. Commuting area is defined as Monterey County, Santa Cruz County, San Benito County California. (Military Spouse Preference (MSP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) eligible candidates are included in the area of consideration.)

PCS Costs
- Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
FWS Allowances and Differentials
- This is a federal wage schedule (FWS) position.
- All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee.
Incentives and Bonuses
- Incentives will not be paid.
Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances
- Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
