An employer in the San Antonio, TX area is looking for a Land Development - Drainage Design Engineer. This person will play a critical role in designing and implementing effective drainage systems to manage stormwater, prevent flooding, and protect infrastructure. Your expertise in hydraulic modeling and design software, specifically HECRAS and Hydraflow Hydrograph, will be essential for successful project execution. This person will work alongside one other to handle the drainage design for all residential and commercial projects. They will be using 2D modeling to map the drainage and runoff for new and renovated sites. This person will conduct site visits as needed, but primarily will work in the office. The salary expectation for this role ranges from $130-$150,000.

Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree - engineering field or anything applicable
- Experience within land development under the city, county, TxDOT and/or FEMA agency
- Minimum of 6 years of professional experience
- Experience with flood plains designs and studies, and drainage designs
- Proficient in AutoCAD, HEC-HMS, and HEC-RAS
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- This person will play a critical role in designing and implementing effective drainage systems to manage stormwater, prevent flooding, and protect infrastructure
- Your expertise in hydraulic modeling and design software, specifically HECRAS and Hydraflow Hydrograph, will be essential for successful project execution
- This person will work alongside one other to handle the drainage design for all residential and commercial projects
- They will be using 2D modeling to map the drainage and runoff for new and renovated sites
- This person will conduct site visits as needed, but primarily will work in the office
- Utilize HECRAS/HECHMS and Hydraflow Hydrograph to create accurate hydraulic models for various drainage scenarios
- Analyze flow patterns, water levels, and flood risks to optimize drainage system designs
