Job Summary

As a Data Engineer at Firebird, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining our data infrastructure on Google Cloud. You will be responsible for writing and maintaining code in Python, automating ETL processes using Data flow (Airflow) and Cloud Functions, and utilizing Cloud Run for efficient data operations. Required Skills & Experience

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python programming.
- Familiarity with unit tests, test-driven development, and CI/CD
- Familiarity with SQL and experience working with relational databases.
- Experience with Google Cloud services, particularly Cloud Composer, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, BigQuery, Dataflow, and Pub/Sub.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Bash) and automation tools (e.g., Apache Airflow).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities Include:
- ETL Development: Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes to efficiently extract, transform, and load data from various sources into our data warehouse.
- Cloud Functions Automation: Create, automate and maintain ETL jobs using Google Cloud Functions, ensuring timely and accurate data processing.
- Cloud Composer Automation: Create, automate and maintain dags using Cloud Composer ensuring timely and accurate data processing.
- Data Pipeline Management: Build and manage data pipelines to support data analytics and reporting needs, ensuring data quality and reliability.
- Cloud Run Utilization: Implement and manage data services on Google Cloud Run to enable scalable and efficient data operations.
- Code Development: Write and maintain clean, efficient, and well-documented code in Python for data processing and automation tasks.
- Collaboration: Work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
- Troubleshooting and Support: Monitor data workflows, troubleshoot issues, and provide support to ensure smooth and uninterrupted data operations.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in data processes and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and performance.
- Learning and Development: Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering, and actively seek opportunities for professional growth.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer certification or other Google Cloud Certifications.
- Experience with additional Google Cloud tools such as Data Studio, Cloud Storage, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with libraries such as Pandas, Apache Beam
- Experience in the entertainment or digital media industry, providing an understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in these sectors.
- Passion for music and the music industry.
