Launch Program Manager

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a talented program manager to be part of the AWS Launch Operations team. AWS innovates at an unmatched pace that continues to accelerate every year with launch operations at the center of this rapid innovation. The Launch Program Manager is responsible for facilitating marketing intake and planning for the most important launches of new AWS services, improving key launch process, and automation initiatives. The right candidate will have exceptional organization skills, be data driven with solid analytical skills, and be able to exercise judgment while acting quickly. They will also be exceptional at building relationships within the team and across the business. In addition, they will have an ability to identify gaps in processes, and a successful track record for managing medium to large projects to establish new approaches and processes for getting things done at scale.
This role sits in Seattle, WA USA only. Relocation to this location only offered from within the USA only.
Key job responsibilities
Specific responsibilities include driving the team to:
Work across 240+ AWS service teams and 80+ AWS stakeholder teams to execute projects that improve processes and tools to help scale with the launch process to match our pace of innovation.
Assist with coordination of marketing plans and assets for key AWS launches, and manage launches released during AWS events, including Global Summits and re:Invent, in conjunction with announcements on stage by AWS executives
Drive production of key training materials and tools and process to ensure all stakeholders are fully trained on activities required to complete for each launch across development and business functions.

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience in a highly analytical, results-oriented environment with cross functional interactions
- Experience with Excel
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of Lean principles and DMAIC methodology
- Experience in requirement gathering and ability to write clear and detailed requirement document

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $50,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $107,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
