Laundry Attendant

Responsibilities

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for performing tasks related to the laundering of resident's personal clothing and linens, as well as community linens . This individual is also responsible for maintaining a safe and sanitary environment in the commercial laundry facility while ensuring the proper operation of all equipment on a daily basis.

• Wash, dry, and iron resident laundry and community linens
• Fold and/or hang laundry appropriately
• Distribute laundered articles and linens
• Change beds as needed
• Mop laundry room floor and wash walls regularly
• Maintains a safe, clean and good working environment within the laundry area.
• Disinfect and sterilize equipment and supplies.
• Stock laundry and cleaning cart with supplies.
• Empty wastebaskets, and transport trash to disposal area.
• May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or Equivalent
• Must successfully complete all Atria specified training programs.
• Ability to work various schedules and shifts as needed .
• Ability to safely perform duties using commercial laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, irons, etc.
• Must be fully vaccinated and provide vaccination record card at time of hire.
