Overview

Serve as the senior Installation Technician on job sites, demonstrating strong skills, on-the-job knowledge, professionalism, and quality of work for other Technicians to follow.

Essential Functions

• Review job folder before starting the project; report missing items.
• Follow installation standards and project plan.
• Participate in project plan development and site walkthroughs with the PM team.
• Assign daily tasks to Technicians and monitor progress.
• Provide feedback to the PM on task durations and deviations.
• Request necessary equipment and specialized tools.
• Manage project hours; dismiss Technicians when not needed.
• Report daily work and issues through status reports.
• Follow up on reported issues until resolved.
• Obtain PM approval for scope changes.
• Report facility issues to the PM.
• Troubleshoot issues with manufacturer tech support; escalate unresolved problems.
• Maintain a clean job site and secure tools and equipment.
• Ensure proper wiring of off-site built racks before transport.
• Communicate with the PM and Programmer about specific project requirements.
• Adhere to client Installation Standards.
• Complete project scope and return all materials to stock with documentation.
• Provide red-line drawings and labeled photographs of the job.
• Test work before declaring project completion.
• Complete daily status reports and time entries.
• Maintain truck stock, cleanliness, and maintenance.
• Train and mentor fellow installers.

Competencies

• Problem-solving with limited standardization.
• Interpret instructions in written, oral, or schedule form.
• Read and interpret AV system drawings and scopes of work.
